Founded in
1995, Keragis is a spin-off of 12-year-old MAR Associates, a world
leader in the design and manufacturing of commercial multi-channel
wireless cable television systems. The mission of Keragis is to
make available to military and ruggedized commercial applications
this heritage of broad experience and extraordinary capability
in the design and production of unusually high performance RF
and microwave products such as:
1) Ultra low
noise, low VSWR, high dynamic range, high intercept point amplifiers
(0.5 dBNF, 1.5:1 VSWR, +20 dBM P-1, over any 15% BW 1-20 GHz)
2) Extremely
broad band medium power amplifiers (1/2 WCW over
full 2-18 GHz, 10 WCW at selected frequencies)
3) Very low
noise low loss and low VSWR subassemblies such as filter/LNA,
mixer/LNA, and limiter/LNA products tuned to maximize the performance
of each of the subcomponents (1 KW at 1% duty limiter/AMP with
0.2 dB loss)
4) Very low
phase noise oscillators: varactor tuned, ceramic, and dielectric
(DRO phase noise of -105 dBc at 10 KHz offset, 6 GHz)
5) Complete
transmitter and receiver systems from 50 MHz to 18 GHz involving
all modulation types and featuring un- usually high signal to
noise ratios and intermodulation rejection (simultaneous AM, FM,
pulse, and phase modulation with +50 dBm IP3, all intermods -60
dBc, and 50 dB carrier to noise)
In spite of
the benefit of better performance, custom electronic manufacturers
are often avoided because of the perception that they may be high
priced, slow on delivery, unable to handle high production, or
unable to deliver acceptable reliability along with custom performance.
Keragis has effectively addressed all of these areas of concern
with great success.

capability!
For prototype
and small orders we do virtually all of the work in-house. For
larger orders (hundreds to thousands of units) we subcontract
low risk portions to outside manufacturers whom we have qualified
to do the work and with whom we have had a long-standing successful
relationship. This enables us to modify our available effective
work force while still retaining a fixed core of in-house personnel
to accomplish the highly skilled tasks and to accommodate surge
and quick response requirements. This tight form of production

Extraordinary
reliability!
In their past
association with MAR, the employees of Keragis not only designed
and produced complex microwave systems but installed and maintained
those systems in the field. This afforded our design engineers
the rare opportunity to deal with design problems and component
failures first hand as well as to formulate design and production
techniques to prevent those failures. This, in turn, has resulted
in a very low return rate for our solid-state products (less than
0.2%).
